Universal Language 2024
I want this to be the influence of a David foster Wallace novel adapted for film. Quirky but not in the same way as Wes Anderson although many are comparing. This style is much more bleak which I enjoyed, definitely similar directorial world though. I liked this but feel I need to watch it again.

Okay more biopics like this ??? Scenic design was so beautiful and so lived in. No production design nom kind of insane, I get that it wasn’t doing anything flashy per se but I think the detail it added to the film was palpable. Either this or the substance for best picture for me. Wouldn’t hate a conclave win either tbh
MJB still has best actress in my heart but I know she wasn’t nominated so Fernanda Torres is my bias, acting during ending was insane.
