  Watching these movies as an adult gave me a very different perspective. I think Harry Potter franchise, this conclusion in particular, are really problematic.

  First, JK Rowling never resolved the class inequities in the magic world, including race-based slavery for house elves. Although the conclusion that of the movie sees our long time villain Voldemort toppled, there is no systemic change, and the lives of most magical creatures hasn’t improved at all by the end of the series.
