Iranian cinema strikes again.
A film with a very simple form that builds to something we already know is coming. A reality for women everywhere, and here we can’t turn away from it.
The film concept is plain but subtile: a camera, an actress and a voice that becomes more and more invasive as the “audition” goes on. I especially liked the ending that gave a hope for the industry in the form of a meta resolution: We held our breath and now we can breath again. Maybe it will get better.

I would never have thought it to be excruciatingly painful for me to sit through a movie with three black queer woman as protagonists going on a roadtrip through America to find their estranged non-binary friend.
Every scenes were painfully long, useless, badly written and awkward. The movie tries so hard to be radical and fails by being purposeless and plain boring. The acting was over the top on one hand and too stiff on the other.…
