Cowardly taking the path of least resistance. Trying to make a documentary about the dangers of capitalism and large tech companies and ultimately landing on the conclusion that free market capitalism is superior is ridiculous. Centrist, neoliberal politics that fuel this documentary are so afraid to take any real stance against anything that the narrative inside the documentary would have you believe “Don’t Vote” is a extremist world view obtained by online radicalization. The documentary consistently explores how social media fuels right wing conspiracies/extremism but flat out refuses to acknowledge it in any meaningful way. Ultimately made to scare suburban Gen X parents.
