Monsters 2010
Ever wanted to watch tentacle porn but been too scared to type it in the search bar? Well you’re in luck. Just kidding… I actually really enjoyed this film, more of a love story than a horror. Think my favourite kinds of apocalyptic films always follow this trope, maybe the last of us took inspiration. No need for a big budget and crazy sets when you have a solid narrative and crazy chemistry between actors. Probably why they’re married in real life.

The Imposter 2012
Crazy documentary. I love how it’s made to look like a fiction film, maybe that’s because the story is an absolute circus from start to finish. How that family let this nutcase in still baffles me. One this is for sure: don’t trust the French.

Last Night in Soho 2021
Genuinely has become one of my favourite movies of all time (and that’s not just me being bias because Edgar Wright is my favourite director) This is very unexpected of Edgar Wright compared to his other usual comedies, however I think he did an incredible job with trying horror. I thought it was a very creative concept; the first half of the film I felt the same naivety as Ellie with the beautiful 60’s style cinematography you’re transported into this…

Bones and All 2022
Ngl at first I read this as a “cannabis film” rather than cannibal film and thought it was going to be a completely different vibe. Really liked the actual concept though and thought the fact that they could turn a cannibal movie into a love story is very creative. Really sad ending ngl. Timothee chalamet should ditch the red hair.
