  I really enjoyed this film. The gradual development and growing depth of the interactions between Russel Crowe and Christian Bale's characters is very interesting and only heightens the satisfaction you get from the closing sequences. Above all its about the importance of a father's image to his son, and the script writing is so careful not to reveal why this is a crucial message of the film until deep into the movie's 2nd hour. If your willing to give it the patience to grow it turns out to be a very good film.
