Okay movie. I think one of the bigger highlights was the gore for some scenes. I think for a sci-fi movie like this, that aspect really makes it more entertaining. Weak writing throughout the movie. It wasn’t bad, but I think it was just a little lazy. Im willing to believe though that the focus of this movie is the cinematography and choreography and they did a good job there.
I appreciated the Catholic influence and theme of sacrifice too

A very original movie. Unfortunately this is definitely something you’ll have to do some homework on and watch again to get a better understanding of Coppola’s work.
As a first time run thru with little to no understanding of Romans, i think this movie says a lot about the power of love for men. Whats the point of vision if you have no one else who can understand what you see. How surreal is it when you find someone you truly love, feeling like you can just stop time. Nothing else matters. At least thats what it seems like love is about lol
