The Warriors 1979
Its actually crazy how many movies show how New York City was basically a third-world country from the late 60s to late 80s. You’ve got The Blues Brothers, Shaft, Once Upon a Time in America, and of course this movie. Films like this also make me so proud gun control, bc if u tried to pull some shit like this today, then the Warriors would’ve been shot dead in like 10 seconds. Instead, everyone gets to dress up with their friends in cute outfits to “wreck” each other with just their fists, fun stuff fr.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2012
I know it sounds stupid, but i feel like underneath all the web slinging and reptilian pseudoscience there’s a real moral lesson that helped me a lot when this movie came out: you cannot expect yourself to conquer the highest peaks and overcome the the deepest hardships if you cannot remember to take care of the little things. It’s funny, my dad always tried to teach me that, but it never really made sense until this movie…
