  A beautifully drawn portrait of Asian-American life. Some of the phrases and untranslated words are so familiar. One of the feats accomplished are the embracing of beige walls throughout the film. Fearlessley dressing a woman in white and placing her against a white wall in an artful defiance.

  I feel like this has the same plot as Inception only that it does not attempt to explain the complexity of dream sharing and instead allows us to suspend our disbelief for a while.

  Horror movies, in my opinion, often jump the guns and reveal their monsters too early, but I think that this film really utilizes suspense and subjectivity to keep us close to the characters and allow the fear to settle in. I've seen many movies about aliens, but not so many that take well know tropes and show them from a different perspective. Like a crop circle from the ground.

  The Lost World: Jurassic Park 1997

  I really like how this film took the original and layered in exposition that beautifully shaped a world of consequences.
