Grave of the Fireflies 1988
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The creators should be arrested for torture. It should be a crime to set us up, as the viewers, to endure such a heavy story. To watch the life slowly drain out of a little girl who had more energy than a nuclear power plant, is like getting punched in the gut. Her laugh would always bring a smile to my face, but that last laugh only left me with tears. They knew exactly what they were doing adding a montage at the end of the movie. Heartbreaking.
