Just a guy that watches a lot of movies.  I go to the theaters alone all the time, why do people think that’s weird?

Amazing art direction and costume designs.  A Frankenstein-esque story full of wonder and sexual awakenings.  Quirky and charming, Stone’s Bella really comes into her own by the films end.

Quirky, dark, hilarious, and succinct.  I don’t believe everyone will appreciate the humor in this film, but for those of us that deal with feelings of isolation, loneliness and longing for something more, then this movie might be right up your alley.

It’s the kind of film that kindles real feelings of giddiness when you find “your person,” someone that just gets you.  The relationship between the two stars develops naturally and feels so genuine. Their adventure together is brief, but feels like a large and well-lived life full of love and deep understanding.

A Monster movie where the monster isn’t even the main attraction.  A gripping humanist story of survival in a post war-torn Japan following the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with a splash of the titular Kaiju.  The characters are so well written and developed

Stylization to the max.  A wonderful example of not needing a single bit of dialogue to tell a compelling story.  The relationship between the man and the dinosaur is one of an almost symbiotic necessity.  They both learn, grown and depend on each in the end.  The journey they take is one worth watching!
