I generally try not to read too far into the real life implications of movie plots, but I watched this movie days ago and am still so angry when I think about it.
My first thought when I walked out of the cinema was “well that was clearly written by a man”.
Firstly, how are people not commenting on the fact that this woman killed herself to get away from her controlling husband, only to have her bodily autonomy stripped…

My favourite type of film is one that makes you work a little harder to keep up with the story (like Memento by CN). But in this case I hadn’t a fucking notion what was going on during or after watching. Majority of the scenes had no context, were drawn out and so badly written to the extent that I wasn’t even interested to find out what was happening.
They tried too hard to obfuscate the story to the point…
