I read a few reviews discussing the ‘bad CGI’ not knowing that all of the seven dwarves were completely CGI

I wrote this really long thing that I deleted about how Disney wanted to tackle the Snow White story without the negative stereotypes surrounding sexism and particularly dwarfism, which is why they CGI’d the dwarves. I really enjoyed this one. Cotten’s character is so cold. You’re immediately suspicious of him (for good reason), though the film makes every attempt to obfuscate your perception of him. Teresa Wright’s character is brilliant - she’s so positive and charming but also the only one who is clever and sharp enough to be suspicious of Uncle Charlie.

The strength of this movie is really as a thriller (and not a mystery), there is a very thin tension between the…
