  Collateral is actually very well-rounded, and sits on the edge of a 4 for me. It is very polished for an early 2000’s crime thriller, and I was surprised to like Foxx’s and Cruise’s characters as much as I did.

  Shadow of a Doubt 1943

  I really enjoyed this one. Cotten’s character is so cold. You’re immediately suspicious of him (for good reason), though the film makes every attempt to obfuscate your perception of him. Teresa Wright’s character is brilliant - she’s so positive and charming but also the only one who is clever and sharp enough to be suspicious of Uncle Charlie.
