Rewatch! This still holds up for me although watching it with my parents made me realize that it’s made for a very specific kind of person. The theatre kids will get it, everyone else…….

Okay! This had some good moments! I think biopics are tricky bc the stakes are low - we all know what happens more or less - and at times this stalled bc of that and I was a little checked out. What saves this film is (obviously) the music, great direction/cinematography and the performancessss. You can tell Timmy put in the work for this role and the performance is reflective. Monica barbaro I’m clocking your tea - you’re gonna be BIG sis….
All in all enjoyable but not something I’m likely to revisit

Rewatch bc my rental was expiring. Such a different viewing experience with hindsight perspective it really made me appreciate the writing and performances more.
