THIS is how you create a film with an all female cast. No contrivances, no pushy messaging. The casting is contextually perfect for the film and even Tilda Swinton's performance as the psychiatrist never breaks the immersion. My biggest criticism is about the ritual scene. It felt like they werent thrilled about what was shot in camera and might've struggled to land the right color grading to make it work. Sometimes the dialogue was difficult to understand in the sound mix, as well. Otherwise, an absolute fucking experience. I'll be thinking about this one for days.

Liar Liar 1997
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This is a story about a nice guy who commits to being a stepfather and makes the grand gesture of asking the boy and his mother to move to Boston and start a new life together. His dream of being a family is foiled when the biological father commits a felony and highjacks runway equipment to beg his ex wife and son not to leave.
