Watched all 3 extended editions in successive days at the theater. I’ve seen these movies more times than I can count but never in theaters. Seeing them on the big screen was like seeing them for the first time. It was a truly special experience.

Watched this in IMAX for the 10 year anniversary, and it was every bit as transcendent as it was the first time I saw it in 2014. It really just has everything — spectacle, heart, believable characters, gorgeous cinematography, and Hans Zimmer’s magnum opus score.
