    Black Bag

    ★★★★½

I just came back from the local Maui Mall Regal Cineplex having just watched the new Steven Soderbergh spy thriller Black Bag and it’s already one of my favorite films to come out this year. I just came back from the theater this evening having watched it a second time. I knew after seeing Killers Of The Flower Moon for the first time that I immediately wanted to come back to this film and immerse myself in it deeper than before with all the subtext and layers presented in its story and characters.

This film exhibits late Scorsese at his peak tier helm with his most assured direction to date, going for a decompressed slow…
