  I get the need to portray the government's failure to respond, the desire to make a point on Trump's remarkable ineptitude and the rampant manipulation of information by mass media, through satire, but I think some characters feel like an empty caricature at times. Forced dumbness just to make a point; most of this in the first half of the film.

  With that being said I don’t think it’s a bad movie. I do enjoyed it, and I do love the second half of it. Just don't think it's Adam Mackay's best.
