If this movie had the same momentum in the first half that it did in the second half, this would be a 10/10 movie. This movie has amazing characters, and the best conclusion I've ever seen in a movie, but the first half is awfully paced and lacks anything interesting.

A movie that sacrifices any semblance of interesting characterization for the best practical visuals I've seen in any movie. The action isn't really that good, with the final sequence being a series of traps rather than actual fighting. It's like Home Alone in the jungle.

Movie with a lot of symbolism and great characterization. It's an amazing story and keeps itself grounded well. My main issue with the movie is the pacing, as Pi doesn't make much progress with the Tiger for a really long time in the second act.
