WTF WERE THE CREATORS OF THIS FILM ON. After finally being able to rewatch this since seeing it in the cinema, I can confirm it’s not just the big screen that makes it so impressive. It is stunning in every single aspect and I love how experimental the animators were allowed to be, especially with gwen’s world that literally looks like melting crayons I mean WTF how?????? The performances also feel so natural and fluid ugh it’s just so perfect I need the next one SO BAD. Will I be rewatching it continuously now to find every detail possible? Yes. Yes I will.

I felt it was an excellent adaptation of the stage show. All performances were extremely high quality, and Cynthia obviously did her research. When Idina came out I was so happy. Wanted more wide shots to really give it that theatre vibe but the production quality made up for that. Gorg
