  It truly did not work for me, but I'm certainly not going to call it bad. It's extremely creative and a work of genuinely interesting low budget ingenuity. I feel it'll strike everyone differently much like Skinamarink or We're All Going To The World's Fair, two movies I really like. Unfortunately, I simply wasn't one of the people this movie was for.

  Jamie Clayton is full-on incredible as Pinhead and the cenobites are all very menacing and wonderfully grotesque, but most other elements don't quite land for me.

  Turning the puzzle box into a game of tag, and how much of the film's first act is just the protagonist accidentally sending random ppl to hell, did come off a bit comedic to me and I'm not sure it's intentional.

  Also it's thematically simplified to the point of feeling puritanical. From, "angels to…
