  The Lego Movie 2014

  I'm probably being harsh with my rating but the live-action ending part felt very corny to me and I didn't like it. I hadn't seen this since it came out and I forgot about that. It was pretty good other than that... but the ending felt so unresolved and abrupt and random it just took me out. Lego Batman was much better.

  The dogs looked like Nintendogs to me and it kept taking me out of it.

  Very silly and campy. I loved (LOVED) the black and white sequence. It was giving Blink 182 - I Miss You in the BEST of ways. I also really appreciated that the step sister genuinely cared about her and wasn't doing or saying anything to be malicious. The lack of the 'evil step sister' trope gave the movie more depth somehow. Also... girl power! The plot perfectly matched the aesthetic and it was altogether: Art 🎨

  Beauty and the Beast 1946

  Ok when the beast said "BELLE! You mustn't look into my eyes! You needn't fear- you will never see me..... except each evening at 7 o'clock" I CHOKED. Also when he DRANK FROM THE POND the way that he did.... I can never unsee it.
  I can appreciate that this was probably amazing for its time. It definitely holds up enough to watch now days, but it's also kind of ridiculous.
