Very fun and gorgeous film. Went in knowing virtually nothing at all about the film and just when I thought I was beginning to understand it, it took a crazy turn. The whole movie is airy and fluffy, even at its most dramatic moments. Sometimes it felt a bit too disjointed for my liking, but other than that no real complaints. Fun watch!

Leave it to Naoko Yamada to direct a perfect band anime movie, and leave it to Science Saru to beautifully animate such a vivid story. The Colors Within is a product of passion, but also of talent.
