  Watched Novocaine. He basically played Hughie from The Boys which he obviously is really good at. Fun watch but I'm done with gore man. Give me a fucking break. We get it. Boooo. Whatever. May I however add that I'm so glad Ray Nicholson stole his dad's face? Love to see more of that grin in more nuanced roles. Also, don't be a fucking simp. Have some self respect ffs

  I've never been more anxious while watching a movie. What an emotional rollercoaster ride. I love cats so much it was heartwarming to see all the quirks and unique movements of a cat replicated so realistically. The whole movie was a seesaw of gasps and "awww"

  A lot to love about this movie but it's Dina Korzun that made it what it is for me. Her screen presence is breathtaking and her embodiment of melancholy and ennui draws you in like a lot of classic Russian literature even when it's not necessarily relatable. The camera takes its time, creating art not in frames but in gentle motions. Darren Burrows only adds to the atmosphere with his intensity and is reminiscent of Ben Affleck's pap shots. The music is brilliantly woven into the fabric of the film.

  Loved this movie not just for its subject but even more so for how it dealt with it without compromising on cinematic value. Based on the real life incidents during and following the woman, life, freedom movement against the theocratic regime of Iran, it did such a great job with the use of lighting and camera to capture tension between characters.
