The best version of ourselves is the version that seeks out opportunities to help and be kind to others while also being inwardly kind and growth-minded.

Mostly just background noise for me this time around, but this movie is still so much fun. Still gets a half-star bump for Paperman too.

I would’ve loved to be in that original pitch meeting. “So, listen, I wrote this banger of a score for the short film attached to Wreck-It Ralph in 2012, and I’d love to repurpose it to represent the love for our main female character and main AI character but TWIST, it’s actually the love of our two main human characters and it’s gonna be just as much of a banger this time around, what do you think?”

This movie shares all the best qualities of my favorite documentaries: it taught me something new, it made me laugh, it made me cry, and it made me care. I’m so in awe of the Spotlight Musical Theater program and the way it gives a voice and a time in the spotlight to so many who otherwise don’t often enough get that opportunity.

I’m grateful to the filmmakers for beautifully telling this story through not their own voices, but through…

What a beautiful, enraging, wonderful, devastating film!

The camera work is great. The writing is sharp. I laughed, I wept, I shook with anger. This movie has a lot to say and it says it so well. I didn’t expect the ending...but it was perfect in a heartbreaking way. Carey Mulligan is outstanding.

I can’t wait to see it again!
