  This soo had the potential to be 4 or 4.5 stars but the 30 minutes of trying to find Vanya just lost me (no pun intended). I will say the contrast of the comedic elements to the gut-wrenching ending was well done. It was amazing that I was cackling at minute 45 and then sobbing at the end. That’s life I guess.

  The definition of COMFORT MOVIE. I first saw this in the theater and it still hits the same. No notes (except for Levine’s acting but everything else about the movie compensates for it). I normally do not like musical numbers but every song in this movie could’ve been nominated for an Oscar tbh. Ruffalo and Knightley have effortless chemistry in this.
