  is it worth the job of humanizing war through your photojournalism if you lose sight of the humanity you have in the process? I dunno, but I’ve been thinking about this since I watched it. Alex Garland is definitely a love him or hate him type of storyteller

  this won’t be a funny review. 

  so excellent, so nuanced, so real (obviously). I’ve never been able to articulate to my husband (or anyone) what it felt like, still feels like, to have been both the victim of stalking and sexual abuse. I watched this solo (for better or worse) but geez, how validating it is to know my reactions to these things are normal. 

  Anyways is it any wonder why when asked “would you rather be trapped in the woods with a man or a bear” the unhesitating answer will always be “the bear”
