  I love this movie: the acting, set design, costumes. I appreciate Coppola's perspective and more nuanced portrayal of the real struggles of Marie Antionette during her time in France such as the ridicule she received for her lack of children. While this is an important narrative, Marie shows very little growth of emotional maturity from the beginning to the end, therefore constantly portraying her as a coquettish 14-year-old girl. This is simply false as the movie covers her whole reign…

  Fun and pretty, yet superficial. The opening and final scenes were the most impactful. I didn't enjoy Ken's degradation because Barbie can still be an individual and have a normal relationship with a man without prioritizing one over the other. Got robbed for best costume.
