I have mixed emotions about this film. Watching this with my roommates, everyone left halfway through (I have to finish a movie if I start it). War is hell. This movie might be a top 5 war movie of all time. The brutality of the unknown in war. Truly depressing but also so good at the same time. I find this movie to be so good at explaining a story without explaining it. They don’t need to tell you war is hell, they want to show you and I think they depict it well.
