A slightly concerning premise of Alex’s mother directing her life beyond the grave in a rom-com, planned meet-cute way. Characters and their dramatic dilemmas were enjoyable for a downtime quick flick. Though, most importantly, Sofia and Kyle are my fav b-list actors and my initial interest in this film.

Late Night with the Devil 2023
A horror film I would recommend and consider revisiting for its skillful use of paranormal and practical effects to unsettle its audience. What sets this film apart is the refusal to rely solely on cheap scares for shock value. It wisely avoids overdoing the fear factor and notably excludes jump scares, focusing instead on developing depth via the characters' personalities. And yet, it remains utterly tense throughout.
