Mickey 17 2025
Similar to parasite or snowpiercer before, this Bong Joon-ho film delivers with a combination of very in your face class critique, deeply cynical humour, bloody action and „was that necessary??“ gory brutality. The over the top chaos sometimes brought out a bit too close to the ridiculous for me to give it a perfect rating — still a total recommendation for me.

Less of a documentary, more of a think piece, an invitation to reflect on your preconceived notions, prejudices and believes. I love the spirit of the discussion that forms the heart of the movie and I wish we had such open and diverse discourse more often in Western Europe as well.
