I’ve watched this film maybe over 20 times. It is a timeless classic with a thick and enriched plot. Between a big bully coming to his senses and being enlightened on things that really matter, to existential thematics making one question “do I exist?” and “does it really all matter?”. We also see a coming of age motif with Penelope, as she goes from an outcast to a more prominent member of society. This movie is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and I think it takes the cake over films such as The Shining, Moneyball and more.

Quite mid. Yeah, cinematography is cool, effects are great and we got a classic twist 😱. Still overrated. There are many other Sci-Fi movies that are more fun to watch and not 3 hours long (Monsters v.s Aliens is an example).
