  Doctor Who: The Web of Fear 1968

  One of the absolute best stories in Classic Who, The Web of Fear is dark, creepy, and at the same time fun and exciting. The opening scene of episode 1 is completely pitch-perfect in its execution, it feels straight out of some of the best horror films of the 50s and 60s. Douglas Camfield is on top of his game here, and this story lends itself so well to being in black & white that you'd almost be forgiven for thinking…

  The ugly animation does nothing to help this at best low-tier story. They easily could've animated the chumblies in 3D and it would've looked better, and the redesigned sets look worse than the shoestring budget of the original.
