  Overall: A fairly solid crime/thriller that is elevated by its stylistic flair. This movie makes you feel like a real human bean.

  Liked:
  -Definitely some cool cinematic shots (there's a scene with Irene sitting in the hallway avoiding a party that I thought looked really good).

  -My girlfriend read the book and she told me one of the key differences there is that Driver isn't romantically interested in Irene. Her preference would have been for that platonic relationship to stay…

  The Big Short 2015

  ★★★ Added

  Overall: This is a solidly fun movie. Not as good as I remembered it being but it's a cool and unique way to explain an important historical event.

  Liked

  -The comedy works well and doesn't detract at all from the story being told.

  -Ryan Gosling is in this movie.

  Disliked

  -There are definitely parts of this movie that are feel a bit too overexaggerated/hammy.

  -The abrupt tonal shift in the scene where Steve Carell cries about his brother just feels awkward. The "don't dance" thing with Brad Pitt did the job well enough.
