I feel like a lot of the hate for this movie is rooted in a dislike for JD. But as a movie, this is a great story, I think the performances are being over scrutinized, and it poses interesting questions about poverty/enabling. I don’t agree with all of the messaging, but it had me entertained and thinking a lot and so for that I say 4 stars
