Unexpectedly great film. A beautiful picture of messy human emotions. All characters have to confront themselves and have to figure a way through, yet do this in a way that neither robs the film of tension, nor demands that they act brutally at each other's expense (the easier writing exercise).

They incorporate multi-lingual dialog to enhance the plot as well as discuss race, culture, love and fear.

Each character wonders, hopes, worries, reflects, mourns, and loves, untimately doing the right thing and growing through the experience.

I enjoyed it! It was smart, funny and poignant. Glad that they gave Ken a character arc instead of writing him off as evil (allowing human redemption) and the entire time not losing the female focus. They used humor to help digest real societal problems without losing the core of the issues. Not knowing who the villain was the entire time was a welcome surprise.

My only complaint was the dad. (Ferrera's husband) Seemed like a useless character added only to make fun of. (the goofy liberal white guy punching bag trope). Small effect on the overall movie, however. Would see again.

Not good. And what’s even worse is it COULD have been good. I get the editing style is supposed to make us “dizzy” like we’re being whisked along with him, but too many details are missed, omitted, or just outright ignored that it’s not actually a pleasurable experience.

Show the manipulation of the Snowman through the acting? Or through the the occasional choice of shot? Idk. I hope others enjoyed, but I did not
