  Stunning visuals, beautiful work with color and light.  Cold, almost monochrome color palates helped establish a feeling of dread and gravity.  Also harkened back to the B&W original film.  Loved it.  Magical realism was nailed.  Didn’t make me guess at how supernatural things were done, drew deliciously blurry lines between waking and dreaming, psychosis and normalcy, possession and agency.  

  Writing was fantastic.  Totally bought in to motives, characters were believable.  Costumes were phenomenal.  

  Boat score: 4 boats.  Presence of boat, boat in storm, no glaring issues with sails/rigging!!!
