  This movie is pure joy and filled with punchline after punchline. The writing of Shrek 2 can only come from highly intelligent individuals that can weave humor, comedic timing, and social issues effortlessly into a language that is engaging and digestible. 

  Shrek is quite timeless when it comes to its message of challenging stereotypes and social “norms”. The added cherry on top of the film would be the song choices throughout the film. 

  This film is proof that the message behind the film can be conveyed with humor and still be effective.

  This horror film could be described as two films put into one. The first half starts off as a melodrama with an interesting take on theology through a modern lens. Then the pace shifts to a horror film with classic characters that include a male killer, and a young female heroine. There was some missed opportunity regarding the minor characters in the film. 

  I enjoyed the comedic moments in the film. The first scene was a great foreshadowing to the theme…

  I enjoyed how the movie was based on real events. It was very heartwarming. 

  The shots done underwater and in the pool in general was really beautifully shot. 

  I was only disappointed when the love story between Jim and sue wasn't emphasized more. I was sad there was no kissing scene.

  The movie was a great depiction of what happens when a small town is involved in a large trial with lots of media coverage. It showcases how the perception of the person on trial is harder to change through the eyes of the small town residences. 

  There was small reminiscence of the robin hood ideology with a texas twist with lots of humour.
