Riceboy Sleeps 2022
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
One of the only films that have moved me emotionally. A very real reflection of the trials and tribulations of the first-generation immigrant experience and one of the very few that explores the experience from the mother-son perspective. I really felt like I was watching pieces of my childhood unfold on the big screen. Having lost a parent due to medical issues at a similar age, I was extremely impressed at how the director shared the frustration, hopelessness, uncertainty, and love that the main character and his mom felt in the film.

We Live in Time 2024
The chemistry between Andrew and Florence carried the movie but the story felt like it missed some character-building. Started off strong but ended a little more linear and tunnelled than i thought it would.
