  This movie in a way takes me back to one of Scorsese's most celebrated works, 'Raging Bull', due to how he uses the film as an embodiment of the seven deadly sins, it acts as a critique of the human condition. He highlights the Greed, wrath, envy and pride of man through De Niro's stellar performance as William Hale. He highlights the sloth and gluttony of man through DiCaprio's performance. In addition to this he brings forth the lust of man through the majority of the cast, as they view the Osage as nothing more than child rearing entities.

  First time I watched it I was so fixated on whether the totem ended up dropping or not but after today I’m left with a feeling of satisfaction cause does it really matter whether he’s within a dream or not, cause he finally seems at peace and he finally gets to see his children’s faces while also getting rid of Mal. So all things considered it really is the perfect ending.
