  I can’t help but think that if I had not seen the recent adaptation of Dune, I wouldn’t have a damn clue what’s going on despite the multiple voiceovers from various characters. It’s charmingly dated, but it’s too much in the weeds for me. And on top of all that, I don’t see a whole lot of Lynchian darkness and weirdness.

  In one scene, Grey reminds Anna to remember her safe word. He then ties her down and performs oral sex on her. Unless he's abominably bad at oral sex, she's never going to use that safe word. On the other hand, I tried using the safe word, but the movie kept going.
