it's clear lepers are more vulnerable to the abyss, to become discouraged and overcome by despair. so it's comforting that Forugh's poetry acknowledges God's presence everywhere. simply to find solace in it would be our salvation.

definitely moments of unparalleled beauty but contrary to popular opinion, the soundtrack is really fucking annoying (at least the majority of it). to me it's just noise that acts as a mental block for me to grasp why Terayama implemented seemingly irrelevant obtrusions. I can't remember at what point it was, but a crucified animal came out nowhere with no context. maybe every aspect that ruined my experience achieved its purpose so I could go outside. maybe outside, i'm not suffocated…
