  This might be the most jarring review I could write. I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, I've seen The French Dispatch half a dozen times and I like it because it's his most "Wes Anderson-y" movie. That being said, Asteroid City feels like if a 12 year old took Wes Anderson's style and pushed it to the maximum.   "Another name for love is understanding"

  Wow.

  Astoundingly beautiful, morbid, and human. Some of the most "this looks like a different planet" footage I've ever seen. Brilliantly interwoven commentary, love story, and nature doc. Sound design is fantastic, editing is superb, pacing is great. Obviously amazing cinnamontography. Probably the best documentary I've watched.
