“I think it’s nice that we share the same sky”

This film evokes such deep nostalgia of a place and time I never existed in but feel inexplicably connected to. An overwhelming amount of tenderness and intention was poured into every crevice of this film, from the color palette, moments of warm silence and each delicate dialogue exchange between a father and daughter that love each other so deeply. Their relationship was so beautifully captured, a very bittersweet ending.

I do however think I need to watch this a second time to fully absorb everything.

I want whatever Gigi was on

The scene of Amy underwater at the party really stood out for me. Beautiful and quietly poignant.

Overall, SO cute, awkward and silly love love love

I’m an absolute wreck oh my god this affected me way more than I anticipated.
Otto and Marisol have my entire heart. This was so beautiful and touching, yet heartrending. A poignant portrayal of the how love can both kill you and save you.

I found out that this is a remake of the original film adaptation of the book. Part of me wants to watch the original but I don’t think I can put myself through that again.

“I was gonna join her but now I think she wants me to keep living”
