corny lines and scenes but a solid story (despite some plot holes). i cannot believe im saying this about a sonic movie but the characters really drive the entire thing, with shadow being the best done.

the aesthetic and acting is 12/10 but the script and story was so…bad. the opening scene attempts to have an emotional beat by killing off a character you have just met but it’s laughably awkward and bad. the actors were really given a nothing plot and still performed incredibly. they chose style over substance for this movie. it wasn’t cohesive at all. it felt like they filmed shots of dramatic lines and then decided what the film would be and shoved them in.
