Beautiful visually. I really liked the progression of colour and the use of different lenses and the surrealism of it all. Emma Stone was brilliant. Did not appreciate some of the most problematic scenes, however. Sometimes it felt like the director was exploring certain themes for very little reason other than to be provocative. It was a bit psychosexual for my liking - lots of interesting questions raised about development, but wondering if this film reinforces certain tropes about female…
