It is everything you wouldn’t want this movie to be. It’s distasteful and so clearly written by a man, because who else would include talking CGI foetuses in terms of abortion. And fetishise mental illness and mock a women’s mental decline. They stripped her of her personality, her intellect and her hobbies. Made her what she fought to not be, a sex symbol. Let the poor woman rest and stop trying to profit of her traumatic life she had one…

I had quite high expectations from other reviews of the film, and I have to say The Grand Budapest Hotel hit every single one from the relationship between Gustavo and Zero to the references to the war with out it over powering the plot is perfect.
