A surprisingly apolitical scrutinization and re route from Alex Garland's previous hot topic works of 'Annihiliation', 'Men' and 'Ex Machina'. Garland's willingness to abstain from revealing the basis and ideologies on which this Civil War began is in my opinion not cowardly, but a calculated decision. Only Luca Guadagnino could make white boys playing tennis so enticing. Set to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross's throbbing score and matched with head-turning dynamic visuals - it is a feast for the eyes.
