  soo silly !! i can’t say i did not enjoy it. definitely not the type of film i’d put on a friday night while in bed after a long week but it is undeniably one of the most foundational films in the history of cinema. its achievements are meant to be gawked at and i am very grateful to have experienced it. it certainly made me appreciate the jewel that robert eggers crafted with the source material. he extracted a gorgeous pearl from a century long oyster.

  film equivalent of one of those cute biography books that you’d buy as a kid that you really enjoyed but didn’t say anything significant that stuck with you as the years passed by and i swear that if you pointed a gun to my head and asked me about this movie the only memorable thing was some of the acting performances but the script & story telling was hallmark movie levels of bland. not quite as devoid of substance as something like bohemian rhapsody but that was a whole lot of nothing! nonetheless i had fun.
