  why did everyone rate this 5 stars? i literally struggled to finish it in two sittings. BORING movie, and i usually love movies where it's slow moving and nothing really happens. it was undercooked and fake deep, no emotional connection or development to the characters. cringe dialogue like the whole spiel about the great cultural divide !!! which it failed to explore further.

  also arthur was a green flag because i would have lowkey went bonkers if my wife was…

  the entire time i was fuming because they don't make movies like this anymore. the witty quips, the twists and turns of the plot, the amazing soundtrack, the diversity and range of the characters, their development and depth... it's unironically riveting, hilarious and fun for all ages.

  all we get now is overcrowded maximum stimulation trash with zero nuance and a big-eyed main character. #bringbackthegoodolddays

  half star star off because the scenes with shrek and fiona being lovey-dovey made me gag in disgust and because the plot wasn't as focussed as shrek 1 and 3.
